Re: Slacker finally Official Release.... Goodbye Pandora Hello Slacker

I tried the official version of slacker and I must say, Pandora is still number 1 in my book. Yes the sound quality is not good, but the music selection is awesome!!!!. One of the problems I had with Slacker was that I wanted a particular comedian to have his own station with only him, every time I select that customized station, slacker slacks off and stops working. I have to shut it down and restart it again. And when it finally plays the station, it a completely different comedian!!!!!. I tried it on my sis’s Blackberry and everything was fine. Any ideas????

I went to listen to slacker today and there was a mandatory update, you might go to their site and download the most current cab and see if it works any better.\
Since the official app was released I havent had any trouble with lock ups

ya, Iv never tried it on a 6.1 ROM.
the main 2 ROMs Iv used it on are mikes final 2.1 Release and the stock VZW 2.1, and I did get a lotta lock ups with the pre-release version but its been great every since the last release.

I dunnot how ot help but also feel Pandora is slightly better with music selection. I just cannot seem to customize my Slacker to my taste...
I stick with Slacker because they actually have a WM app that works well.

The requirements for Slacker are Windows Mobile 6.5. The requirements are listed here.

Worked great for me on my Spring TP2 Stock 6.5 ROM, I thought the audio quality was far better than the WVGA version of Pandora (and a lot more finger friendly).

I use my TP2 for music in the car, and when I showed it to my wife, I was saying "unlike Pandora, Slacker never seems to glitch out in the middle of songs"...Right as I said that, the song we were listening to dropped out! ](*,)

i've had more dropped songs with slacker than pandora. I only listen to it through the phone speakers and pandora does the job for that. slacker sounds no different.
