Slacker finally Official Release.... Goodbye Pandora Hello Slacker

What a nice surprise was waiting for me when i got home for my lunch and sign on to my facebook. 3 days ago I had just become friends with Slacker on there and sent them my frustration on how they have forgotten Us WinMo users. And today the unexpected happen. This is the post i read:

Slacker Radio For those who have asked! Our WinMo app launched today. Greg at MobileCrunch called it "glorious" -

http://www.slacker.com/everywhere/mobile/windows/

enjoy :). :headbang:

Just installed it. I've never tried Slacker before, never even heard of it. So far it looks pretty slick!

slacker has been working for me for months now with the cab I got here on PPCG.

Good to see they finally "released" the cab that we've already had. maybe they'll update it or something but it's exactly the same as the one I've been using for months.

Re: Slacker finally Official Release.... Goodbye Pandora Hello Slacker

Thats true.... I been using the same cab.. But now that is official, they can build on that. :). Besides we are Legit now... we can come out of the shadows haha

Re: Slacker finally Official Release.... Goodbye Pandora Hello Slacker

There was a surprise this morning. I didn't have my slacker cab installed, was too lazy, so I went to slacker.com and thought "why can't opera play it?" Well, it gave me a page asking for my phone model since it couldn't detect ir, I clicked winmo and it gave me a cab. I was like "damn, I can't believe I didn't know about this..."

The player doesn't stop on EITHER version when the screen is off on mines. I can hit the power button on and off as many times, it doesn't interrupt

Yes I had it stop playing in the middle a couple times too. I forced exit and loaded up again and it worked fine.

I hope this isn't another one of those "WM7 is coming! Drop what you're doing and release it as a final version!"

This app used to work fine for me (with occasional shutdowns)

I haven't used it in a while, so when I saw this post I went & installed the new version.

Now, it seems to be working but I don't get any sound from it. Am I missing something simple?? (WMP is working fine)

Should try last.fm, it drags both pandora and slacker through the mud IMO.

This is for 6.5 and 800x480 devices ONLY, according to Slacker's website.

Am I the last guy still happy running 6.1? :p

Absolutely love this app! So glad they finally released it to us so we can be legit.

I uninstalled the old "modded" version I had and then installed this CAB just fine. No soft reset needed.

I can turn the screen off and the music keeps playing. Have you tried soft resetting and trying again?

I'm liking it, but I am not sure how to get the settings to work.

Under stations and favorites, it shows nothing, yet I clicked the heart on a song.

Also too, how do you create a custom station? When you click it, nothing is there to create. I dont even see an option to click an artist or anything and add it to favorites or anything like that.

Unfortunately you have to log onto the website to create a custom station.

Then will that transfer over to the mobile app when logged in?

If not, why include it in the interface of the mobile app? Wouldn't make sense for it to just be there for looks.

Yes, when you make the custom station online it will show up under the Custom Stations section.
