yeah..........................have it replace existing start menu and to have it start with the system. It won't actually do that. Like I said earlier, it will put it at the top of your screen. And if you don't want it to be seen, there is an option to make it invisible and you can easily access it with the "windows symbol" hard key at the bottom of your device.

Well, gee, mr., would have been nice if you wrote originally, that it doesn't start after restart.

Are there any menuing type programs like this that DO start after restart and work like this?

Thanks but it isn't useful to restart it every time by hand.

Once again, look throught the settings of the program. It has the option to start everytime you restart your device.

Re: Any way to organize Start Menu by names of items?

I've been using quickmenu since my old mogul days and it does work after a soft-reset. If u previously installed the quickmenu cab uninstall it and to be on the safe side soft-reset. Now extract everything from the .zip file to the Program Files folder located on your device. Once extracted, using file explorer, navigate to the program files folder and click on the QuickMenu.exe(it should of opened on top left. to get to the settings page start Qm, then click on quickmenu, then options.
what i have checked off:
"Auto start when system start"
"Register win key of device"
"Right arrow to close program"
"ok key to close program"
"x-button of screen: short to close, long to minimise"
"long press win logo.Reboot(make soft-resetting much easier)"
"Show edit menu when..."
"Close ActiveSync when disconnect..."

QuickMenu_2.8.zip

Check out re/START:

I'm running the latest MightyROM (Sense 2.5) and this app worked for putting folders and links in the order I wanted them.

And, once again, this is IGNORED in WM6.5, used to work in WM6.1 I am told, but no longer in 6.5.

Also, to the OP who said to copy the link to the \Windows\Startup directory, it works, SORT OF...

If you tap on the windows logo, next to the word "Start" THEN QuickMenu starts. Clicking on the word "Start" opens up the traditional (i.e., WM6.5 Startup) screen.

Very weird. Seems the QuickMenu is ONLY associated with the windows logo not the "Start" text.

Reading the OP's post about assigning the logo to QuickMenu fixed the issue with QuickMEnu only starting when tapping the Windows icon rather than the words "Start".

Re: Any way to organize Start Menu by names of items?

Most of these suggestions do not address the original question, which had to do with reorganizing the Start menu, not replacing it.

reStart will work, but it doesn't do automatic sorting.

JWMD Icon Changer will let you reorganize your Start menu or move icons to any order you like, and has a button for easily sorting things alphabetically.

I personally use Total Commander to create folders and move icons into them, then sort with JWMD Icon Changer. In some folders I put my most-frequently-used things at the top and have the remainder sorted alphabetically.

It doesn't do anything automatically, so each time you add something you have to go in and sort again, and the new order only shows up after a soft boot. It remains the best solution I've found thus far.

Re: Any way to organize Start Menu by names of items?

I use JWMD Icon Changer to sort

But first, I use JSPA Program Manager to easily move the programs into their own folders (very easy to use, IMO)
