I'm trying to download a file from Opera, and I'm a hair under 4GB, and Opera won't allow me to download the file because it says I don't have enough space. How do I fix this?

Yea, when I first got it a year and a half ago. But then again, I do get a formatting popup when I connect to the pc via storage card mode.

Sounds like maybe it's formatted for FAT, not FAT32.

Try reformatting it, specifying FAT32.
