Re: Can i have some help please?
Lol, yeah roms are Device Specific (as in GSM vs. CDMA). T-mo roms are GSM and will brick your Sprint(CDMA) TP2. Generally CDMA Roms are not Carrier specific and have provisioning steps that you go through after flash. A few are Carrier specific (none for verizon that I know of but there is one for Sprint users).
You can load the New sprint rom and then still put in your T-mo card. I believe with the Sprint TP2 you will still have to use the radio developed by Cmonex that enables using US GSM Sim cards.. Read lots and lots or you can get in trouble quick. Last edited by wesscoggin; 03-19-2010 at 07:52 PM. |

Re: Can i have some help please?
Like the previous poster said... Search Is Your Friend. There are many posts that help people keep track of things, primarily, CDMA vs GSM.
Here's the thing - Your phone is a CDMA (Sprint) model, but being a world phone, you have the ability to run GSM (T-Mobile). Just because you have a GSM Radio does not mean that you can run GSM roms. You will run into major troubles. You will always want to use CDMA specific apps/roms/hspl... etc. Please keep that in mind when making changes to your phone. |

Re: Can i have some help please?
Yeah... Please don't tell people who ask for help to put a GSM rom on a CDMA phone. That's a damn good way to brick a phone.
