Don't bother calling. It's a known issue with your Airave.

When I'm on mine at home it puts me on the other side of the state, 200 miles away.

Do you notice better performance with your Airave? I noticed immediately that I have a constant full signal on the phone at all times now and before when I was running Mighty I would only get a full signal when I was in a call. I also notice that my data transfer rates overall seem much better. I'm sure this is all most likely coming from the new radio.

sprint phones dont use full signal unless its needed I mean whats the point of a full signal wasting your battery if its just sitting in your pocket? never understood why airave shows full though maybe casue its so close but ah well

Isn't the signal stength indicator based on received signal and not transmitted sginal? My TP2 Shows full strength right now and it isn't doing a thing.

I think you might have this a little backwards with how you are understanding it. The phones are designed in such a way that they will regulate transmit power based on the strength of the signal they are recieving without getting too technical. If you are recieving a strong signal the reasoning behind this would be that it would then take less transmit power from your phone to reach the tower and the same goes for a weak signal. If the signal is weak then it probably means it will take higher transmit power to reach the tower. It's the reason why your battery seems to run down faster when you are in a poor coverage area and your phone has to keep searching for a tower. I do know that I am now not having to turn on WiFi at home to make sure I have a good data connection and I still had to do that even with the Airave. I've read mixed info about the Airave and data though and questions about if it also helps with data. The latest firmware is "supposed" to but who knows. I never tried my Airave with a stock 6.1 ROM so I don't know if there was something different between the official ROM and a custom one that made the Airave treat the phone differently. I have also verified that when I shutdown my Airave my recieve signal on the phone goes in the crapper along with my data rates when trying to use the Internet. So far for the most part I have been very pleased with this ROM. All of the apps I need for work (Good Messaging, Rove Mobile Admin, etc.) work flawlessly and my data connections when using these applications seem much quicker.
