Network speed boost "I've searched"

So im on a sprint touch pro 2 using Energy Rom 23544 Sense 2.5 with MaxManila Mar.13. I have done the bsb tweaks, i turned the tcp to 10 attempts in advance convigeration. but im still only getting a speed of 450-500kbs. thats using PIE and not opera, Ive done it multiple times and it will sometimes drop to 200 even 69kbs. but never above 500kbs. i live in knoxville tn. i have good service. I do notice that i have to select sprint network to get it to tether through my pc if that matters, Ive selcted cdma only also and not global. I also have a problem while tethering my EV icon will turn to the red 1x icon alot, which kills speed, the only way to get it back is to terminate data connection and reconnect. I was having the same problem with energys feb.26 release, march 5 release using both versions of the build 21892 and 23541. all had the same issues, the speeds got worse her and before flashing i restored to stock sprint rom, hardreset and then flashed with a hard rest afterwards. I've tried using tcptune and it dosnt help one bit. Im sorry for the long post, I Just need to get the net working better, it takes 2 plus hours just to download a rom file to flash which is crazy IMO, thanks for any help yall can give me.

Also i just checked and i cant get into ##debug# menu to check my recption and teh radio that came with this rom or whatever is 1.96.00WF which isnt even listed in the radio sticky so idk what to do

Try using *#*#364#*#* to check your reception.

Weird it works for me, maybe it's because I am using a stock ROM

I was looking into getting a amplifier/repeater to boost the signal in my house and that is where I learned about that trick. Here is a little about what they had to say.

What is RSSI?

Besides the signal bars you're likely familiar with, there is a more accurate way to see how strong your signal is. RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) numbers provide a better idea of what your signal strength is. The closer the number is to zero, the better your signal strength is; for example, -65 dBm is a much better signal than -95 dBm, which is better than -100 dBm, etc. A good target RSSI indoors is -80 dBm - at that point, it is highly likely you are getting the best possible performance that the tower you are connected to can provide.

so i downloaded your .cab hypnotic 2010 and soft rest then i ran speed test through PIE, i finnaly started seeing an average speed of 650-800kbs and i spiked 1100kbs a few times, this is much better then the 300kbs ive been getting. these test were using mobilespeedtest and using either the 500kb or 1mb test. now im pleased with the bettter speed, but i still would llike to figure out how to get this up to the 1000kbs to 1500kbs average speed as other users are getting. if anyonne else can come up with some settings i can try or need any information about my current setting or whatnot please let me know. thanks for your help agian hypnotic 2010
