Ghost SMS/MMS wont go away!

My SMS/MMS counter keeps reading as "1 new message" in the icon, even though there is no such text message.It also says theres 1 unread message in the inbox, even though inbox is empty...what can make this go away??

had the same issue, when i went to the messages tab, clicked menu, tools, clear mms/sms. it reset the counter and deleted all messages.

I noticed when I used PIM backup and restored it. It gave me the same error.

Had to do a hard reset then intead of using the PIM back up I just renamed my pim.vol to pim.bac moved it and copied my old pim.vol in its place did a soft reset and the problem was gone.

solution to your problem.. erase all text messages soft reset then installed the attached .exe, soft reset again, it will get rid of your ghost message.

hard reset isnt necessary, just clear out the mms/sms and the counter will reset.

True, you don't need to Hard Reset, Just install the attached EXE file that I posted. just follow the instructions.
