**Screwed up my Favorites**
I did something to my Favorites and now they won't open correctly....
Programs involved:
-QuickMenu
-Internet Explorer
-SkyFire
I'm not an Opera fan and was using IE as my main browser. Then I got SkyFire and decided to make that my default browser. However, when I click on a link in my Favorites folder in the drop-down Start menu (replaced by QuickMenu), the link would still open in IE instead of SkyFire.
I found the "Favorites" folder in the Windows directory [Device/Windows/Favorites]. From there I set it up to have the link and all similar file types to open with SkyFire. Went back to Favorites via Start Menu, clicked on link....still opened with IE, except now it won't go to the url. Instead the address bar just says "about:blank", and a pop-up says something about my settings; data doesn't even connect, as I still have the phone signal icon in my task bar. I re-linked the files to open with IE, but still doesn't work correctly.
I can still access my favorites if I open IE first, but no longer from the Favorites folder from the start menu (quickmenu).
I also wanted to copy the links from IE to the favorites folder for SkyFire, or even Opera, but was not able to find any program folders pertaining to favorites or bookmarks.
Sorry if this is a bit confusing; I've explained as clearly as possible.
