I just read an internal memo that had the Official Sprint Winmo 6.5 with enhancements to "HTC Sense" will be released on 3-19-10.

Hate all you want and dont believe my words all you want but wait until you see the release this Friday.

Anyone want a screenshot?, say I! :D

***Note that I edited the screenshot in PAINT, the contact info an some "Sprint info" are blocked out for their safely as well as mine. And also there was 5 pages of info on how to flash the new rom but I will just post the "good stuff".

Sad, really sad here it never fails with any device here, someone gets some information and shares it and I (we) have to read through 23 pages of bashing the OP or asking for proof, therefore we have archived most of the posts in this thread. Then when the date is true I never see all these bashers go back and thank the OP or praise him or even appologize. Bottom line is the ROM will be out when its out, above is a document with a printed date on it that has been floating around the internet for days now even in the sprint forums. Rather Sprint sticks to this date or not is on them. If it happens on Friday then kudos to you OP, if it doesn't then life goes on and we will get it when we get it.

Glad this thread is reopened , I agree with TSO on the bashers, however to bring all assets and have a good balance,there are a lot of us that support the OP,let's not forget:mrgreen: official 6.5 to TP2 is inevitable.

How is it inevitable? Sprint/HTC can both/either say "sorry folks, we have to reneg" are we really all going to file a lawsuit? Really? Nothing is inevitable.

Saw the updates..I wonder if/why they are still using Touch Pro RUU as thats what it shows in the photos. Just an observation. Thanks for the updates man!

It's because the don't need to update the pictures. Before the Touch Pro came out, their generic RUU picture included the HTC Mogul. But when the Touch Pro arrived, there became a new line of phone designs. So they wen't straight to using that as their generic RUU design.

So, I am NOT above apologizing but with SO MANY rumors flying around about this update it's just too hard to believe someone without proof. Well, proof has been shown so I do apologize.

Would be nice to know what bugs were fixed. I hate when firmware notes are vague. I'm guessing 1 is the year time stamp on the txt messages.

been through this especially with the Mogul GPS unlocking ROM, that was huge....everything will be a big mess and cool after,there will be mirrors and all kind of isht...lol ... i wouldnt worry about dowloads...I am 5 hours plus here so i will get a slight advantage...lol:mrgreen:

HB, I remember that sh1t storm like it happened yesterday, that was crazy, even crazier than the whole tp2 hardspl release date fiasco. I think it was the user kmartburrito that created the thread here and over at xda and it was quite possibly the worse flaming I have ever seen on the internets. Suffice to say the planets all alligned when the rom was released later that afternoon, I wonder what ever happend to that guy anyway?

Believed ya from the start Accord and thanked you for sure. If you happen to come across any Hero 2.1 upgrade info can you shoot it over into the Hero forum? I have both the Touch Pro2 and Hero.

Although most of you are probably running a cooked Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM from our forums, some of you will be happy to hear that a Sprint brochure shows that the Touch Pro 2 will be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 in March. Our user platin465 was kind enough to post an image of the Sprint Small Business Catalog.
Update: Our user supdawg has posted a screenshot that now shows the update will be available this Friday, March 19th.
