Re: [DST] Check Your Calendar Appointments!

I have that "fix" cab in my XDA_UC folder so it's always installed right away, but I still have the date issue occuring after 3/14. I sync my calendar through google sync.

OR

2. Install this CAB to fix the problem.

:p

I installed the cab in option 2 and it did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue.

I have the same problem. Installing the cab did nothing. I sync to outlook with activesync.

I got it to work. I had to hard reset my device, apply the cab patch, then enter my exchange server info and sync.

Re: [DST] Check Your Calendar Appointments!

We had this problem on our stock TP2s -- we use OTA ActiveSync via an exchange server. The following seemed to solve it for both me and my wife:

Turn off Time Synchronization.
Uncheck "Calendar" from your ActiveSync exchange server to delete all appointments.
Change phone time to GMT.
Soft reset.
Change time back to EST, ect.
Add Calendar back to to ActiveSync.

Worked for us -- but we'll see what happens on Sunday.

BTW, think Windows Phone 7 Series will suffer from DST glitches, too? Never ending crap like this is becoming painfully frustrating but, I expect every smartphone OS has their own similar issues.

How do you turn off time syncronization?

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but I did the ms tap dance (installed the patch cab and ran the timezone tool), and my appointments were still off by one hour. I then went into outlook>tools>options>calendar options>timezone> and unchecked adjust for DST. This seems to have corrected the problem... for now lol as he knocks on wood.

Rinkwide, I tried this and still have the one hour offset after 3/14. This only seems to effect the single appointments, NOT the recurring ones. Running stock Sprint ROM.

Chas123, Let us know what happens on Sunday!

What is really messed up is the fact that there is, in the control panel for System settings (on Windows Mobile) a "Windows Update" applet. Sadly (at least under Sprint), this doesn't actually go out to get any Microsoft patches (it always fails). Seems like this utility would be just what people need. <sigh>
