Re: Cooked ROMs and Roaming Internationally - Data not working
Did you have the Verizon sim card in your phone? I have no experience with this but... The Simple answer is lol simple... haha! Basically your energy rom has carrier provisioning that sets up data and maybe MMS (picture/data messaging) on various carriers. From what I gather the provisioning mostly focuses on CDMA providers. While you were traveling your phone likely switched to the pre installed Verizon sim card and was operating on verizon GSM service for which there are different data settings and MMS settings, I think (as MMS used your data). You might have to do a little digging to find those setting or simply can copy down them when flashed with stock Verizon ROM if you know what you are looking for. I tried to find the Verizon GSM Data setting s for you but... got distracted by a butterfly and bunny rabbit. kay bia! hope this helps

Re: Cooked ROMs and Roaming Internationally - Data not working
With Sprint the stock rom automatically creates the proper connection with SPN when you roam internationally. With a cooked rom you have to create a new connection manually pointed at the GSM modem with the correct SPN. Once I did that I was all set using international data with my Sprint SIM card.
