Re: Storage memory critically low

In the temp and volatile folders I have found loads of subfolders. Is it safe to delete all these subfolders? Or do I need to go into the subfolders and delete the files found in there only?

Thanks for all the help!

You can delete everything in the volatile folder but do not delete the volatile folder itself, nor should you delete the Application Data folder. The same with the Temp, delete everything in there, but not the Temp folder itself, every now and then, you should do this, it is what that program above mentioned does, except you don't need it when you can just do it yourself. The less things installed, the better, especially since we are limited on rom and ram memory.

Re: Storage memory critically low

With ClearTemp set one of the custom folders to Application Data/HTC/HTC Album/Cache. Running "Albums" a lot sucks up storage space.

Re: Storage memory critically low

I used CleanTemp per suggestions here & it cleaned out Storage Memory back above 100MB's (left side in the attached pic).

But I always notice that my Program Memory is much more volatile & dynamic & always seem to drop after heavy usage - closer to the 50 MB range - until use a program like cleanRam to boost it back up towards the 70MB range.

Why?

Re: Storage memory critically low

Whatever programs that you have intalled, be it on the sd or the device memory, will show under remove programs, though stuff like hot fixes and etc usually won't show in the remove programs.

Re: Storage memory critically low

Cleantemp helped me tons. I had 12.33MB and for the love of me couldn't free up more. Checked a bunch of stuff in the program, let it clean, and now 33MB

It seemed to clear a bunch of junk from Resco Recycle bin. Got me, but back to free mem

Everything that has been said above will help you. can you tell me what programs you have installed if all this does not help
I Thank you for the info although I am trying to do this I can't find in opera:config were it says empty on exit and I am in the cache thanks

Make sure you are typing it in the browser first. If you are, then again, make sure it's just opera:config

You should see disk cache as the 6th one down.

author display mode
css generic font family
cache
colors
developer tools
DISK CACHE

click it, and you should see 7 down from the top an empty on exit. Put a checkmark next to it, scroll to the bottom and hit save.

Hope this helps
