Re: Most overpriced phone in history?
@ap3100, your opinion makes no sense at all. First, you don't make a reasonable point to why you think this phone sucks. Flash is supported. Use Skyfire which offers real flash browsing...so you are MISTAKEN. In addition, Opera v10 has some flash ability as well. Laggy...my (Sprint) Touch Pro 2 isn't laggy at all. It is very responsive, fast and reliable. Weight issue...maybe you have real small hands that it makes it heavy for you to hold it up...as for me...I love the weight- it feels sturdy, manageable and non-cheap. And one of the great things I love about Windows Mobile smartphones is you can always find other Roms to suit your needs. As for me, I am very satisfied with Sprint's WM6.1 and WORTH what I pay for. In my opinion, this is my best smartphone so far...I use it for work on a daily basis. Here is my evaluation: I use it to wake me up, pTravel Alarm, to get up for work. Check the SPB weather so I can see what will I wear...I hate surprise rain! When at work, and I know I will be on my computer inputing-I use WunderRadio or Pandora to give some tunes or talk radio. If my supervisor request I deliver important documents to a client, I use TomTom to help me guide to any address, at lunch I can check my finance balance over the internet using Opera 9.7, and balance my checkbook with winmoFinance. While eating, I can surf the internet wifi- check facebook, tweet (motweet), or youtube. Or watch a movie online on skyfire. At home, when out to a restaurant, my 3 year old can sometimes be a pain in the butt- but easily resolved by showing her a cartoon (Spongebob mp4) playing it with CorePlayer. For pictures, I use Resco Photo Manager, to crop, resize, edit or send over email or mms. Good for when you have kids or projects. When checking online forums, ppc sites and need an app to keep track of all my passwords- I rely on eWallet to make sure I have it on hand. And last but not least...for texting, making phone calls and checking email. I forgot to mention the GREAT keyboard it has. I think it is great that I can set it up as well for easy of watching movies. And the battery is also great. No issues so far. And to top it all off...I flashed it over to Metro PCS!
Like I said...worth every dime. Last edited by montecristo1; 03-06-2010 at 07:08 PM. Reason: more info |

Re: Most overpriced phone in history?
For the record, IE supports flash and so does Skyfire. There is a hack to make Opera Mobile support Flash too.
While I'm at it- the bigger the screen the better. This phone is about the same size as many phones with smaller screens and worse resolutions. Don't even start with the size of the Touch Pro 2 because my next phone will probably be even bigger. And I've had plenty of way bigger phones than this in the past too. I have no issues at all with the size of the Touch Pro 2. It's size is average, and even on the smaller side, when compared to most modern day smartphones. And Sprint is the ONLY carrier that hasn't released a stock WM 6.5 yet. But it doesn't matter, we've all been running cooked WM 6.5 for months now. Nobody cares about stock ROMs. OP just flat out doesn't know what he's talking about. I spent more than him for my phone, and it was worth every penny.
