I'm selling my t-mobile tp2 on ebay and i got a question from a guy asking if it only works on t-mobile.

I said that the phone can work on ATT as well but it will not be able to get 3g. Was that infor correct? Does it have to be unlocked?

Will the t-mobile tp2 work in europe?

I believe it would need to be unlocked to work on anything but tmobile. Once unlocked it will work on any gsm network with the appropriate sim card installed. It can roam on any supported european carrier, but the home carrier att or tmo will charge up the wazoo for roaming minutes in europe. Can always get a local euro sim tho, be much cheaper.
You are correct regarding the 3G. It will only get 3G service on tmo.
