Interchangable Housings?

I recently acquired a T-Mobile Touch Pro 2. It's in fine shape now but I don't use cases and I was thinking ahead. The T-Mo offering is pretty ugly and if I were to replace the housing in the future, it would certainly be preferable to go with the OEM housing. I am curious if the internal parts from the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 could fit properly in an OEM housing? I know it wouldn't be cheap since I would need the housing, digitizer and front buttons, but it might eventually seem like a sensible makeover.

Did I ask a stupid question or is this a general unknown? I tried looking this up first but I wasn't able to find anything.

No question is stupid. It just may be a misunderstanding of what you are asking. I would suppose it's possible as long as it is a same like carrier. Meaning CDMA - CDMA or SIM - SIM. But I can't say for sure. I mean my case is black, nothing different than most. Now the back cover seems to vary amongst carriers. My TP2 doesn't have a light on the back. But it has a mute button under the lens. Lots of speaker holes though. I know when I bought a case off eBay there seems to be a difference, because the seller told me the one I bought won't fit my USCC TP2 phone. Something about the sizing...
