HTC Touch Pro 2 Tools for Flashing *I'm New*

Greetings everyone!

I need to know from you experts what kind of tools do i need to flash a phone on my own. I have a mac and no access to a pc for starters. I need a new phone so i was looking at the touch pro 2 and I see that a genius has already posted the tutorial on flashing it but i need to know the basics to get started. Can you ladies and gents help?

try the sd flashing found in my sig !!

But you do need access to a PC in order to unlock the phone.

thast is true but u only need to unlock via a pc one time!!

Do i need software to unlock it because the only access to a pc that i have is through school and they block software installs. Also, does this process unlock the phone or does it flash to metro pcs with everything included too?

First what tp2 do you have? CDMA or GSM? I am posting the link for HardSPL but this one is for GSM ONLY!!!! It will not work on CDMA!
And if your school blocks software downloads you will have to find another pc to use because you have to dl the HardSPL package...the link I am providing will help you out with allot of your questions. If you need more help ask away and someone is sure to help you out! Good luck!

Oh duh just saw you are with Metro so its CDMA right? I will try and find a dif link but read this one anyway I believe it will point you to the unlocker you need for your phone

first question is r u able to sync pc with ur phone. If so then u will need to dl the proper Hard spl For ur carrier to unlock. run the program whle ur is still sync with pc and walla ur unlocked.

Windows XP is what I have been using to flash/unlock my phones works for me. I don't know much of anything about Metro...might want to ask that question in this link
