Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
Did you follow the directions on the first page of that thread, I believe post 5. I am on Sprint as well and my mms works just fine. Also go to the paperclip tab and look for the Arcsoft version that works.

Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
I'm not on the Mighty Rom but this is a common issue to Sprint users on all Manilla 2.5 roms. Currently the sprint network settings doesn't allow you to send/receive mms using the htc messaging client. There are plenty of workarounds for this issue. All of them use different methods. This is the workaround that I currently use. Be aware that all these fixes have side effects that will break something else. But if you must have mms, then its worth it until we get a an updated manilla through our carrier. This is what I did step by step.
1-using regEditor HKLM/SYSTEM/INBOX/EXTERNAL ACCOUNTS/SMS tap & hold sms to edit or rename. rename SMS to SMS.htc then soft reset 2-search for the arcsoft sprint mms cab and install it (there are plenty in this site) 3-from homescreen tap on the email tab, inbox, select the sms/mms account. once your're on the sms/mms screen press menu, pics/videos options.make sure both boxes are checked, retrieval mode should be AUTO resolution original. 4-now on the same screen at the bottom,go to CDMA servers and make sure sprint selected as your default server. thats all I do Now what this does is it lets you use the native htc messaging to manage your text messages and the native windows messaging to manage your mms. If you get an mms, it will show on your messeging indicater counter. press the messaging tab to find out if it is an sms or mms. if it is sms u can view it on that screen. If it is mms you will notice a paper clip to indicate an attatchment. to view the mms, go to your email tab, swipe your finger left/right til you get to the sms/mms screen, then you'll see the sender, tap on that, then your picture will open. Now this sounds long and difficult on writing, but it is really simple . I hope u have a good luck

Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
I know on the latest Energy Rom, the messaging client is modified by the chef so that all mms is handeled by Windows mobile. So there is no additional setup neccessary by us to get mms working.
But the fact still remains that You Can't use Htc Messaging 2.5 for mms on the Sprint network settings. |

Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
perhaps you are not reading the first post correctly. He stated that he is currently running the latest MR War ROM. I am one of the testers for this ROM and all testers have confirmed that mms on SPRINT work just fine with the Arcsoft cab that is provided in that thread. A beta Rom is in testing right now and it too works on that version of War as well.

Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
EXACTLY, you need the Arcsoft workaround to get mms working. You can't use HTC Messaging 2.5 for mms using Sprint.

Re: MightyRom 2.5 MMS Issue..
There are plenty of Manilla 2.5 roms with the htc messaging client, there for it is needed. Not everybody is on MM War.
