Radio Flashing from Stock Sprint. Need info.

Hey all,

I'm getting really curious about flashing a new radio from my stock Sprint radio. If my understanding is correct, when I flash a different carrier's radio, my phone still talks to Sprint, just using different coding methods? So there are possibilities of better signal strength?

In my apartment in Chicago, I have absolutely horrrrrrible signal quality. And for some reason, it has gotten even worse the past few days. PRL updates don't help much. My TP2 even tries to connect to a neighbors AIRAVE but that is bad quality too. GSM has great reception, but that is not an option for me.

Does anyone have any guidance on if flashing a different radio is the best thing to try? And which CDMA radio would you recommend? Any other helpful info?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Trying a different radio is always a good option when experiencing poor signal reception. As far as which to use, that is something you have to determine for yourself. Since the coverage is different city to city, each radio will work perform different for pretty much every user.
