relating to "droid" . . my ol lady, who finally stepped into the 21st century last nite got a g1, which is droid .. now g1 & the phones u folks r talking about is probably like comparing apples to oranges or fred flintstone to george jetson & mind u i do not keep up on the news of phones & b4 my tp1 was a palm os user & i just show up for a tweak or 2 or sum q&a but while fiddling with her phone(droid) i noticed that its lightning fast, better response to inputs then my tp2, not laggy at all & has blazing net speed compared to my tp2 .. it has a dpad & its so finger friendly .. please tell me besides screen size why my phone is better ? because i can make my phone into whatever i prefer thanks to u smart folks ? if so give me guidance on what i should do cuz im not loyal to any phone type, make or model but have been backing this phone as i believe its a complete 180* turn compared to tp1 .. ive tried spb shell which sux, im leaning towards getting educated on flashing but will i be satisfied compared to what i experienced using her phone ? |

I cannot for the life of me figure out why HTC decided to leave out the physical keyboard on their android devices. I was all over the hero when it first came out but the lack of a keyboard was the dealbreaker for me. I have been so spoiled by having fully functional keyboards (6600,6700,6800,TP1,TP2) that even the droid and moment keyboards feel like crap compared to any of the ppc's that I have owned (Pre and blackberry's keyboards just seem too crowded for me). Personally I like and am comfortable with Winmo but with all the new smart phone operating systems that have come out in the recent years I wanted to see what android was like and was ready to pull the trigger on the hero but UGH onscreen keyboards suck! |
