Convertible headsets like the Plantroics Voyager 855?

I was looking at the Plantroics Voyager 855 and really liked the way it can convert from mono to stereo as needed.

I am wondering if there are any competitors to it can be used as a stand-alone phone headset that you can convert to stereo.

Are there any competitors that are convertible mono-stereo clip-on earphones rather than earbuds?

You must be the other person in the universe that thinks this was a great idea. I'm on my second one (accidentally crushed the first one), and I have a third stashed away that I bought when they announced that the 855 was to be discontinued. I've never seen another BT headset with the convertible feature + AVRCP +AD2P. It's perfect for listening to things like books where you don't need stereo, and need to be aware of what's going on around you.

I think you can still find them on Amazon, but they are gone from newegg, etc.

Anyway, if I ever find another model I will post back...

I love mine! I haven't seen anything close to it out there. When I mountain bike, I like to just have one ear in so i can hear other people coming up on the trail. But at work I rock both ears to keep the riff raff out of my head!
