Help with SPB and TF3D

I've been running SPB mobile shell, and it seems buggy. I've tried to uninstall and re installbut it still locks up almost every time I mess with messaging among other little things. I installed darkness's switcher so I could go back and forth between the mobile shell and TF3D to see if TF3D would be any better, and when I when I switched to TF3D from mobile shell using the switcher it shows a white screen where TF3D should be. With the white screen, I can only hit start and it opens a very slow "all applications" list to scroll through. It still appears that I have TF3D installed, and when switching the screen shows its loading TF3D. I hope I"m not making this all too confusing, but does anybody know what could be going on?

Re: Help with SPB and TF3D

I had that issue with my phone when I first got it back in October, Im a little sketchy trying to remember so if it doesn't work I will apologize in advance. When you uninstall SPB (soft reset) go into you program files where SPB is located (should be on your device), and delete the folder for it. Run CleanRam level 3 and soft reset. That should get it fully erased off of your phone. Once all that is done, install it again and see if the problem still exist. It didn't for me, it just took a while to figure it out. That and I didn't want to hard reset my phone. However, if you like SPB, Formula84 has a rom in the upgrade section that I would highly recommend.

Re: Help with SPB and TF3D

I used to use the various "switchers" for the purpose of going back and forth between ms and tf. I found what worked best for me was to simply uncheck the tf under the options on the today settings list. I disabled the start first feature for ms by using memmaid to keep them from competing at startup. I have no slowness or freezes using this method. I only switch occasionaly so this might not be desirable for everybody, but at least it's solidly stable.

This is what i do also, as i like having the proximity sensor etc. I use Mobile Shell 3.5.3 with no problems with this method.

Cheers!

Re: Help with SPB and TF3D

My problem isn't so much switching between TF and SPB, it's that it looks like TF isn't there at all as it shows a white screen although it doesn't look like it was uninstalled. Is TF something that can uninstalled and re-installed? If so, can someone link me to it? I've searched but haven't found a cab for TF3D alone.
