So my remote desktop won't connect if I'm on 3G but if I use wifi it works just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Remote Desktop wont connect

I remember reading somewhere that when you connect using wifi you are on the same network as your PC so you should use your Local IP Address. When on 3g though you should be using the regular ip address you can find by googling find my ip or whatever..... hopefully that'll help

Re: Remote Desktop wont connect

Are you trying to connect to a computer that's in your university or office network? The reason you can connect when using wifi is that you are within the local network that way... When you are trying to connect using 3g you are trying to connect from an external network and in order to do that you have to have the port 3389 open i.e. if you do have the admin rights on the network to open them.
