Well after uninstalling Jeyo, it does seem to be working fine. I emailed them and they sent me an update, but at this point I'm so tired of screwing with this I don't even want to try updating it.

Well now this adds an other variable into the problem. I don't remember if I had bluetooth on all the time, but I very well may have since i use an A2DP headset for music.

Also, I have no problems with my GPS. It works fine even inside the house and usually shows me in the correct area of the house, well within 20 meter accuracy. Be sure you set quickGPS to update.
That's how my Diamond used to be, except more like within 3 meters everywhere i'd go. I just updated quickGPS and google maps still says i'm a mile away from where I am.

No, it doesn't. Read the thread; it's you, not the phone.

Sounds like you aren't using gps, just cell towers. Go into google and make sure you have GPS turned on. (On version 4.0 it's menu>options>turn on gps, your version may have a different path)

Ah yes, this is much better. I much prefer momentarily losing my geek credibility when the solution is a simple no-brainer than fighting with something stupid (like Jeyo) for months. Thank you.

Re: Sprint TP2 battery life sucks

Heh, I had the same problem at first (accurate to 9600 meters, wtf!) then I saw (turn on gps) as I always eventually go through all the menu options just to see whats there. What a difference. :P

As for battery abcTaskMan will show you cpu usage and battery usage real time. You can usually find whats doing it.

I upgraded from Touch Diamond to TP2 a month ago now. My Diamond's battery only lasted about a half a day, but I figured this was because I kept it attached to the computer all the time (texting from an Outlook plugin). So I got the new TP2 and even with the stock ROM, it'd have the same crappy battery issues as listed in the first post. It would seem that after restarting the phone it would be fine for a variable period of time. This latest time it worked perfectly for a week with 2-day battery life, then just yesterday started dying quickly again.

I was about to give up in desperation and assume that I'm just cursed with battery-killing hands, but I had an epiphany last night: I had not plugged it into my computer in the week it worked perfectly. And looking back, I can (roughly) estimate the time my battery started dying quickly to the time that I switched from XP to Win7.

So this thread is now located in the wrong place, but can anyone shed light on this issue? Maybe an Activesync/WMDC bug that causes it to hog memory on the phone after being connected to a computer? In the meantime I'll just connect it only often enough to sync contacts and restart the phone after.
maybe try this cab to make sure active sync isn't staying on. I haven't tried it yet, but i don't do a lot of active sync anyway.

Re: Sprint TP2 battery life sucks

I kinda skimmed through the thread but are you charging your phone through the computer when its connected to outlook? Cuz if so, that might be your issue lol
