I'm with you on this. I've been using Windows Mobile since the first Pocket PC came out 10 years ago. I have been very deeply involved with the platform, and I usually embrace progress. Unfortunately I don't see any progress in WP7S.....Hello Android.

All I know is there better be a way to disable that Xbox live hub or maybe on the so called business edition it will have other hubs but I can't imagine giving my employees phones with Xbox live stuff bloated on there.

Can anyone really judge WM7 based on the demo that was shown. The finished product is probably no where near complete yet and there can still be so many changes made.

And all the haters who are saying they are not interested in what WM7 is offering will probabaly be the first in line when a WM7 device is offered.......

Paul Thurrott is a bit of a Windows fanboy, but compared to 6.1 there is no comparison.

Very clear will not run on TP2.

Now that this has been brought back... once again , I will drop my 2 pennies.

It seems the more info I hear about WP7, the more I think it sucks. Going the gayphone route it seems. Android is looking better and better every day. The interface on WP7 is definately for iphoners. I don't like the way it looks. See, I like my phones with lots of info on the main screen. I don't like big fat icons that take up 1/4 of the screen. I also DONT need any of that Xbox crap. Hell, I don't even own one, why would I want all that mess? And what's with all this social networking bulls***? It seems they are focusing more and more on those dumb sites like gayspace and facebook. I could care less about those things. For half this nation, that social networking garbage is what many people spend 3/4 of the time on their phone doing, well, that and texting.

Hiding the file system and blocking view access to it? Again, another Icrap move. Another score for Android or ol WM6.1 . I HAVE to have file system access. I don't like something telling me where I can and can't go, or where I am REQUIRED to put my downloads and other stuff. I got a PPC phone because of WM. Because It functions like Win Xp PC. I got this so I could do more of this stuff on my phone, then have to resort to doing most of that on the PC. Restricting access is a BIG fail. Having to pay royalties for every 3rd part dev? Can't make your own cabs? It's sound more like a controlled dumbphone from 2005 than a smartphone. No multi-tasking? Again, another reason I got a PPC was so I could do this and this at the same time. You know, run a browser while a notepad is open, and while an email is being written... to use copy and paste. Oh? No C&P ? wtf. No backwards compatibility? Bad news man. Disappointing.

I really started enjoying Windows phones, until I hear what WP7 has in store. When Android first came out, it didn't look all that impressive..cool, but not enough for me to move because it ws still new. Now, Adroid is looking much better. When my contract is up in another year, I will either move to droid, or just keep tweakin my TP2 till it dies. WP7 is off my list. And no... WP7 on TP2 will NEVER happen. Nor could I care less about it happening.
