Re: Which of these drivers to use?

My first question would be if you are using a stock rom or using custom roms, usually custom roms would include some sort of driver already cooked in.

Re: Which of these drivers to use?

i am making my own rom. those are the options that are in the kitchen. i dont know if there are more drivers out there.

it seems to me that the oem drivers would be best. who knows the hardware better than the manufacturer?

so then what are the advantages of the other drivers and how do they effect proformance.

(proformance to me is the most important thing. i caint stand a laggy device)

Re: Which of these drivers to use?

Hes cooking a rom i assume, i would use the X2 drivers, there my favorite for sure. Havent gotten chainfire drivers working, but the x2 seem to be the best out of them all. NFSfan should get some credit for porting those drivers...

OEMdrivers are the worst htc doesnt do shit with the drivers they slack off in d3d driver department.
the X2 drivers are from the xperia 2, omnia are from omnia of course, they were decent and chainfire are made for the HD2 but work on our devices.

The xperia2. No they wouldnt. HTC doesn't do good with d3d drivers. Trust me on this one.

These drivers arent necessarily device specific but specific to chipset.

Re: Which of these drivers to use?

ill use those. but i dont get how someone who did not design the hardware could know how it works better than the ones who designed it.

not disagreeing, just wondering how their coded differently.
