Re: Did Sprint cancel "Phone as Modem" services altogether?

My friend uses this everyday and always complains about the connection having to be re-established every 2-3 minutes with both tethering and wifi. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

we no longer have to option to add pam to peoples account, its been done away with. but you can still teather as others have posted, the block just effects legit accounts where people are paying for PAM.

you actually still can, you just have to get creative with the SOC's on the customer's BAN :D

Works for me using mightyrom. Just tried it now. I just clicked the internet sharing option when it pops up when you connect through a usb cable.

there is a lil program I bought for $20 called USBModem back when the Touch was new and it still works even on the TP2. best $20 I spent in my life.

if you are using an old free version, it is messing with your internet connection settings. some people have gotten it to reset by soft resetting the phone. I had to hard reset my phone twice because of this.
If you need to use the program, you'd be better off getting the paid version, as this doesn't seem to cause problems.

finally figured it out...i think for some reason the app TellMe somehow corrupted my wmwifirouter....i hard reset and reinstalled, works great now.
