Re: free up memory for stock tp2 help spmeone

so changing the resproxy basically keeps programs from being able to cache data??? Is this a correct analysis? So programs that cache so they run faster, won't be able to, maybe causing slowdowns?
I think the easiest way to free memory is to get rid of sense. It is the biggest nonessential memory hog on the phone.

I did the resproxy change to 0. Memory usage dropped to 53% from 80%. Temporarily. I did not notice a change in the speed of anything doing this. After a few hours though, memory usage is back up to the 71% level, so apparently, phone memory, like nature (or my garage), abhors unused space.

Delete Sprint Rom apps like Nascar, Sprint TV...use WIMR (Where is my Ram)- it does the job easily. Get it here: http://mypaq.net/mobilesoft/wimr/

Resco Explorer deleted HTC Mobile Guide....

Saved alot Ram with these suggestions...
The 2 cabs referenced in the first link dropped my mem usage from 71% to 56%, so that's good

I tried this on my stock Sprint 6.5 ROM and it doesn't seem to have any effect on RAM usage after restart - my TP2 still boots up with 57% usage (after sense loads up) - same as before.
I know that this (along with the no-push-internet cab) had a pretty big impact on memory usage on 6.1 - maybe this doesn't work on 6.5?

Was your TP2 booting up to 71% mem usage (after restarting it)? Or was the 71% after using it for a while?

Mine boots up to about 57% usage (6.5 Stock Sprint ROM)

Not sure. It's booting up at 53% now though. And staying below 60%!

Why would I do this, it only resets itself shortly thereafter?

Installing those 2 cabs really doesn't do anything on 6.5 for me.
My memory leak usally runs in the 70+% range.

Re: free up memory for stock tp2 help spmeone

If an application is in ROM, the only option you have short of a custom ROM is to delete the short-cut. The statement concerning WIMR needs a bit of modification.
