Phone went crazy
The battery died completely dead faster than I've ever seen before, to the point that it had to charge for five minutes before it would even think of turning on.
Then, when it finally turned on (With a boot up that took at least five minutes), the phone said "Activation failed. Please try turning your phone off, then back on." Except the phone radio wouldn't turn on.
So I turned the whole TP2 off and back on - I got a white screen, then a screen with a rainbow pattern that had a lot of debug info. I just remember the first line said 400RHOD 32M. None of the buttons would work, including reset, so I took the battery out and put it back in.
It booted windows this time - extremely slow - and as soon as it started up I ran clear storage. This fixed it - but what on earth happened?
This was the stock rom with the HTC SMS patch applied to it
