Re: GoDaddy email doesn't work with Touch Pro 2 T-Mobile - Help!!
Godaddy email works GREAT on my TP2. I had NO problem whatsoever in setting it up and making it work.
Mine is setup as follows: Email address: myemail@companyname.com Your name: My Name Account display name: Godaddy (doesn't matter what's in the blank) Incoming mail server: mail.companyname.com Account type: POP3 User name: me@companyname.com (your email address) Password: password for email Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: smtpout.secureserver.net Place checkmarks in BOTH of the boxes: Outgoing server requires authentication AND Use the same user name and password for sending email The remaining setup is purely preferences. Nothing to do with making the email work. If this helps you, please click THANKS Jim

Re: GoDaddy email doesn't work with Touch Pro 2 T-Mobile - Help!!
Thanks for the info, but it didn't work. I'm still getting the same response - unable to connect check username and password (which are both correct). Perhaps it's the T-mobile version to GoDaddy connection.
Any other insights from anyone? |

Re: GoDaddy email doesn't work with Touch Pro 2 T-Mobile - Help!!
I utilize Godaddy's email services just fine & dandy on my Sprint Touch Pro 2.
Make sure your settings are as follows: POP3 - pop.secureserver.net SMTP - smtpout.secureserver.net Username : username@domain.com - MAKE SURE TO USE YOUR FULL DOMAIN ADDRESS AND NOT JUST THE USERNAME Password : Your password You do not need to do anything else!!! By default new email accts created on your TP2 will delete email off the server when you delete them off your phone....(if you are like me I like to keep copy's on the server as a backup since I sync email from various places).....so if you don't want it to do that I suggest you follow these instructions to keep them on the server instead. Make sure you are in your email inbox on your TP2 and do the following: 1. Select Menu 2. Select Tools 3. Select Options 4. Select your email account by clicking on it to edit it's options 5. Click send receive schedule, 6. Click advanced settings 7. Change the drop down to whatever floats your boat. Hope this helps Last edited by boxeduphouses; 02-12-2010 at 02:55 PM. Re: GoDaddy email doesn't work with Touch Pro 2 T-Mobile - Help!!
i can echo the users responses in that i have no problems accessing either of my godaddy mail accounts with or without ssl. i can not better explain how to set it up the other users have already done a good job. the only other thing i might ask you if you were playing around in the registry or other options, something may have gotten borked somewhere. good luck

Re: GoDaddy email doesn't work with Touch Pro 2 T-Mobile - Help!!
I was having similar issues. I don't remember where I found it, but I read that the outgoing (smtp) mail server had to be smtpout.secureserver.net:80 and the username had to be the full username and domain. Mine works great now.
