I think I know what your problem is!!!
You're on Verizon man!!!!!!!!!
Im just messing with,try hard resetting, seems to always help, also when alighning the screen make sure you are doing it right, and take your time!!!

Before you change phones give it a chance and take some time with it...the TP2 is much like a woman, without the back talk. Last straw would be to take it to the corp. store and have them play with it and see if it is an issue with the phone itself. It does sound like a fresh flash may help. If you decide to flash a custom rom please download the stock rom as well (always good to have that ready to go). Clear Storage before flashing and after. Ask questions and search the site. Have fun, and try not to get frustrated... Enjoy....

when some of you say to clear storage, whats the reasoning behind it ? & if indeed it works as claimed why ? i would think a fresh out of the box phone would be fresh from a clear storage .. no ? sry just trying to better understand

i think an out of the box phone has some settings from the factory that get wiped during the first hard reset. things to do with screen sensitivity and volume dampeners. i know the original tp had an amazingly low speaker volume out of the box that was fixed by the "clear storage". dont quote me though. just what ive always been told.

FYI: If you are comfortable and like to experiment, you could try flashing a custom ROM.

HOWEVER, please don't feel like you NEED to do this to have a fast phone. I found (Sprint) stock to be plenty fast. I don't find the custom ROM I'm running (MightyRom) to be faster than stock (others might, but I'd want to see repeatable benchmarks to prove that). That said, a custom ROM will make your phone more functional and prettier without a loss in speed. Bottom line, stock should be working way better than you describe.

i got my gf a verizon tp2 running on att, seems to run pretty smooth, you could even say it was MIGHTY, HAAAYOOOO!!
