And nothing gets added... I messed with Sahsimi and it seemed a bit confusing just to import a reg file... Besides, I want to keep this as clean as I can - Mike started with XDA_UC recently and I wanted to keep it as clean as I can without adding all kinds of things.

If you use a registry editor, you go to particular registry edit within your registry that you wish to save - bring up the menu and choose "export".... Export this edit to the XDA_UC file on your storage card.... when you run the XDA_UC customizer, it will import those reg edits you exported to your XDA_UC file on the Storage Card..... do you have a registry editor you use by chance? PM me if you like, I have used XDA_UC successfully..........(I use Sashimi, but I've got it set up and it's SWEET!)

I've tried 2 different ones, i tried the Resco one and the one from PHM... The reg file is in the UC folder on my storage card. I run the XDA_UC customiser and after about 20 seconds or so i get a task manager that pops up and looks like it installs something, then about 20 seconds later, i get prompted to reboot. After I reboot, I go to the owner info and its blank.

I looked at Shahimi briefly and used it enough to mak XML files for my email accounts, which DO get set up when I run the XDA tool. But the reg stuff is befuddling me!

Do you have the UC folder on your storage card named "XDA_UC"? It has to be XDA_UC for it to work - that is my understanding.

I like Resco myself.....

Re: Touch Pro2 Reg Edits/Stuff to backup

Easiest way to do all this with Sashimi:

1) Download PHM Regedit (it's free)
2) Make the registry edit you want to make in your registry
3) Navigate to the reg entry you just made in PHM and then tap and hold on the folder containing the entry and hit 'Export'
4) Name the .reg file whatever you want, but make sure you select 'Regedit 5' as the output 'Type'. Save the file wherever
5) Take the reg file you just saved and place it in the Sashimi\Auto\REG folder

That's it. Now when you run Sashimi, it will automatically install the registry entry for you

Re: Touch Pro2 Reg Edits/Stuff to backup

Enable Wake-Up on Keyboard Open with TP2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD, then change the 'SlideWakeup' value to 1 (or, if the key doesn't exist, create it). Then soft reset.

to remove 'Phone as Modem' option from there?
In the registry go to HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\providers\(7c4b7a38-5ff7-4bc1-80f6-5da7870bb1aa)\Connections\and delete phone as a modem.

I may take another look at it, but I'm trying to avoid installing another app to do all this when there is something already loaded (XDA) that will do the same thing... :/

Hey guys, does the customizer work only once and not again unless you do a hard reset? I'm thinking I was working with XDA_UC and it didn't seem to apply things I had in the UC folder after I used it once.....??

Echew, I know it's a pain, but have you tried exporting the reg edits via your registry editor to your UC folder, then hard resetting and THEN running the customizer?
