Transparent Soft Keys and Taskbar

Is there something I can edit on my phone to make my soft keys and taskbar transparent. I have used a program called MaxTF3D theme maker to do this. But I would rather just edit a file instead of installing a program just to make on change.

The only way I could think of doing it is to edit the .tsk file for each theme and change the color of the taskbars to transparent. I know that MaxManila allows it to be done but it only works with certain roms. Check in the themes and software section to see if the rom/manila version is compatible with that customization through MaxManila.

So the softkey transparency is changed by the theme. Is the more than one file for a theme or is it just the .tsk file

its just the .tsk file. It is basically a cab file used by WM for themes.
You are using WM6.5? That is the only way to have the transparent taskbars.

I used max theme maker and made the softkeys transparent but the tsk file is unaltered. It is the exact same size and has the same save date. So it must save this info somewhere else. Where?

So the theme maker alters two files called top.png and bottom.png to the portion of your background in those areas. So this works but you would have to change it again if you changed backgrounds.
