Stuck SMS notification...not the usual "permanent" notification

SO I have searched and read the stickies, and unless I am missing it, I can not find the answer to my problem. The SMS indicator will not clear off unless I read the messages multiple times. Example: I have 4 messages from someone, I have to go all the way out to the home screen and back in 4 times for it to clear all 4 notifications. I have seen where people are having problems with a notification that will not clear at all, but that is not he case with me, as it will clear but is annoying to enter a message 4 times just to clear the notifications

I had one stuck on my TF3D, I did everything i could think of, I ended up hard resetting it.

Happens to me running Sense 2.5 without HTC messaging. Usually just click the last one I got and it goes away.

I tried that fix unread count thing and it didn't work for me

yeah, i tried that too...it only fixes the permanently stuck messages

IIRC thats how stock was, you had to actually highlight each message to clear it. I don't believe this happens on custom ROMs, at least it doesnt on my Mighty

mightyrom does that for me too.. I sometimes have to go highlight it to clear it... it's annoying..

yea and I did the reg edit to remove it but as soon as i got a new one it was stuck again

Mine does it too. When i text my girlfriend i usually leave my conversation up and when I exit the conversation it says i still have the number of times she texted unread. Does anybody have a answer?????
