Just to keep this thread going. Am now in France (SKF) and connections as discussed above are easy as they were in Germany (Vodaphone). Saudi Arabia also OK. Skype works perfectly on the phone... for $2 a day. Only place I had trouble with was Qatar and the setting had to be frequently reset. Sprint International took it on as a problem but they believe it was the locals (Qtel). I also exchanged SIM cards in Qatar and France just to see. They worked fine and the phone has not been "unlocked".
I don't know where you would find a better system (cheaper system). Try this with an iPhone. |
