Re: How to VPN with VPN client?
I have been able to connect to a Juniper VPN with my touch pro 2. They have a WSAM client for WinMo. NOt sure what vpn your company uses. You may be able to get the software from your IT department.

Re: How to VPN with VPN client?
Thanks for replying. How can I VPN to my home computer? I don't really know the basic steps even. I just have the client installed.

Re: How to VPN with VPN client?
Are you sure VPN is what you want? It sounds like RDC is what you asking for (Remote Desktop). VPN can be kind of complicated to setup for someone who's never done it before. You may want to get help from a professional.
To VPN into your home NETWORK, you need a VPN server on your network. The VPN server can either be on your router or built into one of the computers on your network. If the server is on a PC on your network, you'll have to forward a port and pass through GRE data to that computer. You're going to want to setup a PPTP server as this is what windows mobile has built in. Then you'll need either a static IP or use some type of DynamicDNS server such as No-IP. Finally you go into settings > connections > connections on your WM phone and there you'll find a wizard for setting up the VPN connection on your device. I know that's alot to grasp at one time. Feel free to ask questions and I'll walk you through it. Again, it sounds like you don't really need VPN though. Why don't you tell me what you're trying to do and perhaps I or someone else can recommend an easier solution to you. Last edited by nikkobenson; 02-09-2010 at 12:43 PM. |
