Re: tp2 charging problem

I tried a different charging "block" with a different cable and it seems to charge ok now. I think that is a variable that should be tested. THis would be the 2nd block that became faulty in the last year. Just though Id share more insight.

It sounds to me like these issues seem to be caused by defective batteries or overheating. If you have a Sprint device take it to a store and ask if they will swap batterys wth you and try it. They should do it for free.

Re: tp2 charging problem

Issue of Charger showing as USB connection & not charging is a internal fault (Resistor & Capacitors). Battery won’t charge more than 2%.

If you have already hard reset/clear storage and your issue persists then you definitely have some sort of hardware problem. It could also be that the usb port on your device is damaged, dirty, or defective.

Re: tp2 charging problem

I had a similar problem, but it isnt that bad
I have a wall charger from an old moto razor, they have the same connection.
It used to charge my phone fine befor I started hacking unlocking flashing and all that.
Out of nowhere a few weeks ago (around the time I started playing with android ports) the wall charger stopped charging my phone. It will pretend to charge and then tell me the current isnt strong enough to charge the phone.

But its no big deal cause I have a usb wall converter. You might have a similar thing going there....
Im sure you can get a wall converter for a usb at walmart or best buy or whatever. Most new phones come with that standardly now, my brothers samsung android that he got a few months ago did.
(I took his converter lol, my prior phone was a samsung with the same charge port so I gave him my cable)
Ive yet to run into anyoter problems with charging from the "wall" now

BUT whenever running any energy rom, my phone will not charge from a computer or any other usb port (xbox or car or such) that doesnt have a usb 2.0 port.
I get a current issue like above. That and when running energy the cable is EXTREEMLY touchy. if the cable so much as wiggles the phone thinks it got unplugged and reconnected.
Any other rom, its fine.
