I chose to set up my SMS/MMS key to function as a Cntl key. It works very well, but I'm curious about your TAXCV long press configuration. Have you noticed any problems with regular typing on the keyboard? I might experiment with TAXCV.

I'm also curious about VNC Viewer. I've been using the built-in Remote Desktop software and for the most part am happy with it. My needs aren't that great. Why did you choose VNC Viewer?

I keep re-reading your post and thinking "I need to try that!" I hope you don't mind the questions.

Re: My Touch Pro 2 inventory (Apps and Tweaks)

no problems typing. youd have to have a pretty lazy finger to accidentally long press. i use vnc and rdp. i like vnc because it runs at full monitor res and i already used it from my work pc to home.

also note that shift and the whole number row is unassigned. i wish shift was the default modifier for symbols. i keep pressing shift 2 for @.

fyi you need the PRO eyefy card to teather. also you cant tell which pics uploaded. i use the mode where only locked pics upload so only the ones i like use bandwidth.
log into eyefi.com with skyfire to monitor progress.

as far as music i dont keep mp3s with me, so i use nanogroove, last.fm or pandora.
I finally got around to registering and installing my Eye-Fi card on my home network and camera last night. Since I don't have the Pro card (ad-hoc mode support), there's no reason for me to install WModem fix.cab. Too bad. BTW, I bought my 4GB Eye-Fi card for $50, which included 1 year subscription for 200GB Google storage (in my case, Picasa). I'm tempted to give the Eye-Fi card to my mother-in-law and upgrade to the Pro X2 for the extra storage, speed, and ability to upload RAW. It's a bit pricey, though.

Google is your friend.
