My Touch Pro 2 inventory (Apps and Tweaks)

abcTaskMan 1.4
Task Manager with power/cpu/network usage graphing

At0mAng Enhanced D3D driver
Supposedly speeds up graphics?

Coreplayer 1.3.6
High perf video player, works on non-hd xvids right off torrent@350 megs/hr

Disable SMS Sent Notification.cab
As it says, though I think you can do this in settings.

Enable all camera modes.cab
GPS-tagged jpegs, and a few other extra modes.

Enable In Call Recording + AllCallRecorder v1.2.3
Enables recording bidirectional audio, and automatically records every call on Storage Card @ 1MB per 10min

Enable Rapi.cab
Install unsigned cabs without warning

Faster end call 0.5s (default is 3 seconds)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendS etting]
"EndCallTime"=dword:500

GAlarm 1.5.1
Freeware version of advanced alarm that makes you concentrate to turn it off and progressively shorter snooze cycles.

ICS and WModem fix.cab
Access internet from laptop via wifi or usb to phone, also works with eyefi pro sd card.

Increase SMS text entry size (3 lines)
\windows\thread_sms.htm
COMPOSESUBJECt hight=55

Store mail and attachments on storage card
For WM6 Phones: [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings ]
Then create the following STRING VALUES.
Name: AttachPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI\Attachments
Name: PropertyPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI
Then create the folders

Microsoft dotnet 3.5 compact framework.
Requirement of many applications.

NoPushInternet
Allow you to close opera, conserve RAM.

Palringo
Multi IM-client proxy, allows you to sign into google talk, aim, icq, msn, many others.

PHMRegedit
Windows Mobile Registry Editor

psshutxp_eng.vga.xscale.cab
Shutdown app that lets you just turn the screen off / restart. Allows media player to keep playing.

qwertyMemory and dciBattery.cab
1-pixel wide bargraph for battery and memory usage real time.

Turn off HTC application cache to free up a lot of RAM (doesn't seem to hurt)
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/ResProxy and change ShareMemSize to 0
Default: 20971520

TouchWatch
Simple count down timer (installs a font that is anoying in facebook though)

SkyFire
Thin-client web browser that runs remotely but allows all webpages to display as if you were on a pc, and streams audio/video.

SkypeMobile
VOIP chat for your cellphone.

SPBBackup
Backup your whole device to a single file, simple whole-device backup and restore.

SpbMobileShell
Much improved GUI for the user interface, totally customizable, supports plug-ins.

Sync to more than two computers:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\En ableNonLocalCrossPollination
Change that to 1 to enable. Then soft reset.
After that you want to hook up to each PC and set up your Sync from the DEVICE - NOT from the Windows Mobile Device Center or from ActiveSync on the PC. Again, when setting up the partnership you need to go through the setup on the phone when you plug it into the PC.
There is one exception to this. You cannot do Push Mail for both mailboxes if they are Exchange mailboxes. You can set up your work PC first and enable Push Mail for that mailbox. Then set up the partnership to your home PC and add your home Hotmail account separately - which does allow individual Push mail when done through the device. It sucks that Microsoft forces you to only use their services to make it work, but it does work.
Once you've done all of this you are able to sync up your Tasks/Calendar/Contacts/etc with both machines and can even use Push Mail with Exchange at work and Push Mail with Hotmail at home.

VNCViewer
VNC to computers

vxUtil
Ping/Traceroute/whois etc

DinarSoft MemMaid
Allow you to see disk usage by folder, change startup items etc

iGo8
GPS with text to speech for street names and exits etc. No carrier service required.

Topas Notifation Manager
Allows you to tap on the "new email" or "new sms" notification and bring you to the actual message.

qik 4.21
Stream audio/video to the internet real time, though limited to 10fps on the touch pro 2

PocketShield
Prevents pocketdialing if your device wakes up in your pocket, for example when a SMS message arrives.

Opera Mini 4.2 / Opera 9.5 / Opera Mobile 10
Mini is super fast but tiny buttons, flash for youtube can be installed for 9.5 and opera 10 has more features but sucks up ram. Mini5 will be great when they keyboard fully works.

Total Commander
More comprehensive file explorer.

Microsoft myphone
Backup your phone nightly, remote wipe / locate if lost / stolen.

Glympse
Quickly send your gps coordinates and a google maps link of your current location to your contacts.

ClearTemp.cab
Wipe out many cache and temp directories to free up space

AssassinsLament_Wifi_Sharing_v1_1_1_2.CAB
Allows using the phone as a wireless access point and the phone can still access the internet as well. Failed to make a desktop icon for me. Search for CMInternet*.*

RhodiumKbdControl_CDMA.CAB
Allows remapping any button to anything you want.
. long press = .com
FN-G paste my gmail address
FN-W paste my work email address
TAXCV long press = tab / select all / cut / copy / paste
Back-mute button long press=run application \windows\camera.exe (long press it again to take a picture)
Home click = Close(minimize) active window Long press = laucn SPB Task Manager: \Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MenuLauncher.exe arg: -cmd:"menu|Tools\Task Manager"
Vol Up/down long press = page up / page down
Back long press = rotate toggle.
SMS long press = launch Palringo
End long press = launch sound recorder (voice memo)

Shortcut to \Windows\taskmgr.exe (shows all processes)

WunderRadio (radio streaming), Pandora, pocket scrobbler (last.fm client), nanoGroove (grooveshark client)
Music streaming applications

Internet shortcuts:
orb.com (stream music/video/slide shows from your home computer onto your phone)
radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/uppermissvly_loop.php (high res animated radar on your phone)
xhtml.weather.com/xhtml/hbhf/55122 (hourly detailed weather)
fark.com
failblog.org (suggest skyfire)

I don't use RSS feeds

I also use Cisco AnyConnect VPN to connect to our office network / Microsoft Office Communicator (corporate chat)

Games: MEON

Installed on PC: MyMobiler (remote control your windows phone from your computer)

Did I miss anything really cool / useful / fun?

My 3 home screens, and contacts:
The middle home screen has virtually everything I need to know.
When my next alarm is, my next appointment, the weather, how many unread messages I have in both email accounts etc. Pressing an each item brings you to that corresponding application. I have SPB set to show tables instead of the useless but pretty carousel, but even the tables is redundant with this home screen.

They're not that hard to find once you know they exist and their exact names.

Re: My Touch Pro 2 inventory (Apps and Tweaks)

Thanks for the descriptions. I'm on Sprint and w/o any tweaking have been happy with using USB tethering. But now that I see "ICS and WModem fix.cab...works with eyefi pro sd card," I might have to add these. I'll be taking a trip soon and uploading my pics this way would be terrific. Of course, I still have to set up my EyeFi card! It's still sitting on my desk.

I'm very new to WinMo. I installed the cleanup .cab, then made a few other tweaks. It doesn't look like you're using the cleanup .cab, yet taking advantage of many similar/included tweaks. Any particular reason for that?

I'm using MagiCall with Google Voice. I've got Sprint's Pick 5, so all my GV outgoing calls are free (I use callerid, to incoming that are not part of Pick 5 are not free). MagiCall is expensive, but I got it free through TrialPay (signed up for Netflix).

I just use WMP for video playback, but have considered trying TCPMP. I don't want to pay for Coreplayer.

I've already installed a lot of what you listed, but will try some of the others. A couple of apps I've installed:

AP Mobile – Nice app for Associated Press.
Evernote – I registered with Evernote, installed the plug-in for Firefox and the app for WinMo. I’m sure this will come in handy.
MSS Converter
News Pro – Nice Thompson Reuters reader, but I haven’t used it much.
