Accessing the SD Card via file manager

Is there a way to do this? Can I see it as a removable drive from Windows Explorer? Or do I have to buy an app like I did with my Treo?

Thanks in advance. I'm new here and just got the little fellow today. Sure takes a long time to charge

Re: Accessing the SD Card via file manager

Yes, you can view the contents of your storage card with the file explorer on the device (though I prefer the aftermarket Resco Explorer), or when connected through your PC, through the Windows Explorer there, too. With File Explorer and via the system PC, many ROM, Archive and System files are hidden and unaccessable. I'm not sure how to change that with the stock Explorer as I've used the Resco version forever.

Hope the wait was worth it. I think it is, myself. But I'm hardly an impartial owner.

Re: Accessing the SD Card via file manager

I prefer Total Commander as my file manager. You just press the \ button in the top right and there is a folder called Storage Card. If you plug in your phone into your computer and use the disk drive option, the SD card disappears from your phone and is seen as removable device only on the pc.
