This has ALWAYS been a problem with WinMob & was the same on my TP1.
The remedy - as you state - is the same all the time - uncheck & recheck the Gmail entry for Pocket Outlook/ActiveSync & add it again.
Usually, your connection entries will have been saved in memory already so no need to do anything except unchecking/rechecking.


I will add that this is one of the bugs of the Google + MS connection which makes Gmail unreliable as a push mail option. I believe this was a warning a couple of us stated to the OP in his other post on the same topic.
