It happened to me.....I unchecked "email" in the sync settings.....then soft reset.....then went back and checked "email" and boom it started working, give this a try.

no need to soft-reset. just delete the server entry in activesync and then add it again. that worked for me.

This has ALWAYS been a problem with WinMob & was the same on my TP1.
The remedy - as you state - is the same all the time - uncheck & recheck the Gmail entry for Pocket Outlook/ActiveSync & add it again.
Usually, your connection entries will have been saved in memory already so no need to do anything except unchecking/rechecking.

I will add that this is one of the bugs of the Google + MS connection which makes Gmail unreliable as a push mail option. I believe this was a warning a couple of us stated to the OP in his other post on the same topic.

I had this issue before updating to the latest MightyROM, it happened on the 2/1 release a day after updating and continued until I updated. I have yet to see if it's still an issue yet though as I haven't setup ActiveSync yet on the latest.

Surprising as it has work consistently for me in the past.
Steps are:
Highlight your Outlook Account
Menu
Accounts
Accounts (again)
Menu
Options
Highlight your Outlook gmail acct
Uncheck the sync folders (inbox)
Ok to save it
Then go back & Check the sync Inbox again.
Everything else should be inputted already.

k...as soon as i highlight my outlook gmail account, just takes me to the "edit server settings"

is this where i should be?

if i keep hitting next, i can get to the point where i can uncheck the email and hit finish.

Yep.
That should delete out your Gmail InBox in Pocket Outlook.
Then exit & go back in & go through the steps to add the Gmail account again to Pock Outlook.
But you should have to do anything as the entries are filled in for you already from memory.
So just recheck the sync box for InBox.
