Re: Revisit - can't ics with windows 7 64-bit
well i use wm wifirouter to tether via usb cable and i have no issues with my win7 64bit laptop. i know this is a different program than what you are using, but i wanted to note that when i plugged my phone in and selected to share my 3g via usb windows 7 installed a new driver for it, aside from what was needed to active sync. i can't recall if i had turned my wifi off yet on my laptop. but once it was installed and connected it worked great.
so if you have a internet connection on what ever your trying to tether to, see if you need that driver first, then try tethering. thats all i got. win7 has been night and day between xp and trying to get hardware recognized, haha Last edited by MrGoodCat; 02-04-2010 at 01:11 AM. |

Slightly different phone (Sprint Treo Pro), but I am seeing the EXACT same problem. I can USB tether on 32-bit XP and 32-bit Vista, but 64-bit Win7 Home Premium is a failure.

have you tried xda-developers.com to see if they have found a solution. usually doesn't take them long when new software comes out.

Mine works with W7 64 bit, have you installed the Windows Mobile Device Center for 64 bit? I think it installs the usb driver you need. http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-W...-10714491.html
