wierd tether issue

First, let me say thanks to those who built the cabs for tethering. They worked great, but for some reason stopped. Which is why I am typing this on my tp2.

I've been tethering for about a week. Used about 500mb total. Everything worked great. Then today, it won't work. Well, it only lets Skype connect. No pages, no messengers, nada.

Everything on the phone gets internet. The only thing on the PC that works is skype. PC works on a friends wifi, so its not the computer. NO CHANGES to either device were made prior to the failure of my tether attempts.

I have hard reset, redone all steps, no progress. I'm lost at this point. Forgive me if I missed a thread with this same issue, I tried searching...

Oh, and as a last resort I tried wifi. Same result.

please help a noob...?

I did search, I just never found that thread. Just a ton of threads on how to use the various router softwares or the tethering CAB.

Anyway, I'm not certain that was my problem (in the other link) since some stuff works consistantly and the rest does not. Thanks for the link though, I will try the google DNS. Although it seems the problem from that thread just faded away on its own.

It would seem that the issue has gone away on it's own. I guess Sprint regularly has network hiccups? Odd...

Yea I had the exact same problem a couple days went by and now everything works perfectly so I dk what is going on with sprint.
