Re: I dig the new Verizon ROM. Who wants to strip it down?

And as for dummy sqm and fwupdate, they just take up space and use ram (i think they eat ram) Including them increases performance. SQM is system quality metrics and it just is an error reporting tool included by microsoft, and fwupdate is firmwareupdate, it is the update tool included like windows update, that never works. These dummy files were created to include the dll's/files needed my the OS but not do what they are supposed too.

Do I disable the actual respective files when adding the dummy files?

Yes the dummy files allow you to delete the real fwupdate and SQM packages in the sys.

Forgive my ignorance - do I delete them from the drive, or just remove them in the kitchen?

Can I install these to my phone? Where can I get these files? Or can it only be done via kitchen/cooking ???

Thanks,
Ryan

Nayr - I'm not sure. I think you have to cook them in to the ROM.

BDX - I just tried your kitchen and my phone hangs @ the Touch Pro2 screen, fyi.

What would it take to port this to Sprint? Carrier files?

To port what? We really haven't done anything yet. The only thing I have is the stock Verizon ROM with Manila and Chome pulled out of it. Still working on all the tweaks.

Re: I dig the new Verizon ROM. Who wants to strip it down?

Bike, I've made some pretty good progress with this. I'm now looking at adding tweaks. Things that speed up general operation. I want to fix things like when I open the Windows folder in File Explorer, I don't want it to take 1 minute to display the list of files. I know there's hundreds of other tweaks. I just need to know how to implement them in the kitchen.

Thanks again!
