Re: Longer texts on 1 Page!!!!
Know why you can't write a book and send it to someone via text message? Because there is a character limitation for texts. That limit is 160 characters. Try writing your friend an e-mail instead.

Anyway, there is a thread about increasing the MMS size limit. Maybe check that thread out and see if a similar possibility exists for SMS? One question you should clarify is: Do you mean you want your incoming texts shown as one long message, or your outgoing texts shown as one message (even if it's longer than 160 characters). Because regardless, your outgoing texts will still be seen as two texts by your other party. I assume you mean you'd like to see it as kind of like an IM view, where its each message sent/received; rather than broken up by character limit? If so, that would be a nice request.

Use the text in the pic mail. That's what I use when sending a long text. I'm pretty sure there's not a limit when doing it that way

Re: Longer texts on 1 Page!!!!
No carrier has longer texts. Some phones may just not TELL you that its breaking it up into 2 messages.
Why not just email if you have a lot to say?

Re: Longer texts on 1 Page!!!!
Some carriers will allow certain phones to send messages to other phones WITHIN the same network to be longer than 160 chars. This is called 'enhanced messaging service' (EMS)
But Windows Mobile does not support EMS so it will always break your message up into multiple messages if your text is longer than 160. Sorry, champ... |
