send a picture message (mms) but do not send a pic. thats how you get around the text limit.. but as its been said sms is limited to 160 characters

still waiting to see the new Sprint Text Only phone . that should take care of all all issues.
Send all the text messages you want in any length , just no calling ....hmmmm maybe they could call it the HTC Texter.....write an email or even go out on a limb and use the dial pad the phone is equipped with....

It's supported on Windows Mobile, but enabling that support isn't going to do anything if the carrier doesn't support the service as well, and if you're in the US, you aren't going to see any difference. From what I saw when searching about it, it appears that only European carriers actually use it, though I'm sure there are probably more than just that.

Makes sense. I guess that's why it never worked on my VZW Omnia - it was an American carrier...
