When a software says to restart your phone...

When you install a new software and at the end it says to restart your phone. What is it that it is asking? To soft reset, hard reset (most definitely not this) or just turn off/on the power button. PS. I thought I read wrong on the guide book when it says to soft reset is to open the back of the phone and poke the hole with the stylus. Seems much more intrusive than the hard reset which is to press 3 buttons at the same time with the phone off.

Re: When a software says to restart your phone...

It's asking for a soft-reset. Powering off/on is equivalent to a soft-reset.
