Thumbs up TP2 Image Stabilization

I was searching around the Internet and discovered that our "friends" with the IPhone can now purchase an app called "ProCamera" for $3.00 that adds image stabilization to the camera. It works by using the phones G-Sensor and tells the shutter to wait until the camera is still. While I'm not a programmer it would appear that the same would be possible with the TP2 if anyone out there knows how to write an app that would do it. I'm sure its not as good as a regular digital camera, but if a simple app would reduce the shakes, it might be nice to just leave that old camera at home.
Thanks to anyone who knows how to do this.

Re: TP2 Image Stabilization

It takes long enough to take a picture now with these things.

The last thing I would want to do is make it take longer..........

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile 6.0) Sprint T7380)

I don't think it would take that much longer.

Re: TP2 Image Stabilization

Just hold it with two hands and tuck your elbows hard into your sides. Hold your breath and you get a great picture.

Re: TP2 Image Stabilization

Image stabilization simply take a picture at a little bit less than full resolution. saving a portion of your CCD from taking a 100% picture. that way it has a buffer from shaking. if anyone can figure out how to make that happen and make it into a programmer, i suggest you apply as a professional programmer for mobile applications. because shoot, i wouldnt even know where to start.

*shrug* i dont know if youll be seeing this for the TP2. unless someone can make a port.

also @jmorton10, due to the way it compensates for the shake it doesnt actually take any longer. its kind of like post production. what may take longer is the part where it saves it to the phone, but not the actual picture taking part.
