How do I use Verizon TP2 with other network

I have searched around a bit on this, but somehow i keep coming back to the same info I already read. Basicly what I am wondering is if it possible to use a U.S Verizon Touch Pro 2 with Sprint, if so how would one go about doing this.

Heres what i've done so far;
Used Olipro's program to Hard SPL, and SIM Unlock Phone
Flashed to newest Version of Mighty Rom

and... i'm kinda stuck here

I read abit about flashing Radios, but still not fully sure exactly what this is for,. Also came across posts about PRL's but even more clueless...

Any help or links to info that would help me out would be greatly appreciated

Re: How do I use Verizon TP2 with other network

You can't. You would need to get Sprint to add the ESN to their database, which they won't do. The same is also true if you wanted to have a Sprint phone on VZW, they pretty much won't add the device to their system so you could connect, so buy a phone that is from the provider you want to use. This has also been discussed several times in several threads, not sure how you didn't find it.

Re: How do I use Verizon TP2 with other network

(Game Changer though) there is one.

if you are near providers that use GSM, it is possible to unlock the device and use a GSM carrier's sim card for data and voice. I have NOT done this, and I have NOT heard/read anything other than the web browsing and phone calls will work. Tmo and ATT have NO COVERAGE where I live and work. so that is not much help but it might be.

AND Because of that I will again state, that as far as I have read anywhere, text messages probably wont work, and other carrier specific apps wont operate, .... AGAIN, you wont use VZW phones on any other CDMA carriers (of which the Vzw phone is native CDMA device, without having a Buddy inside the company that will do as IMNUTS already mentioned add the ESN to thier systems... Not even sure if they did , it will work unless the phone from both sides like sprints and vzw's were absolutely exactly the same, which I dont know. )

It will work with any GSM as stated above. I think there is a way to change the ESN number (or some other number) to trick the carrier into thinking it is another phone, but that is illegal.

A Sprint phone will certainly work on Verizon if you can find a VZ employee to add the MEID for you (I did that with four Sprint TouchPros). Good luck getting that done however.

Yea, it is illegal as hell (it is a federal felony) & now that Sprint & Verizon use the same hardware there is really no reason to do that anymore........

AFAIK, they don't do this anymore and it only really happened in the early days of the TP and then VZW stopped adding new ESNs after a few months and took away the panel to add new ESNs from most of the people that used to be able to do it. I think now you definitely need someone fairly high up to get this accomplished, so it's essentially impossible to do.

Getting the ESN (or MEID) registered on the 'other' network is the hard bit.
If you are on contract with sprint and say you have a replacement phone sent to you, you then call up Sprint and give them the ESN, they tell you the #_ _ _ code to type into the phone screen and the device will soft reset and then load the carrier info.
If you can get the ESN registered with them, you can easily find the re-set codes and you VZW handset will be on Sprint
